"The star product presented at the BEGE gaming show was the latest Lucky 5 model", Tjasa Luin, Alfastreet

(Sofia, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Tjasa Luin Peric, Alfastreet CEO, talked to SoloAzar about the performance and highlights of the firm during the BEGE event and the expectations for the 2024 in the Bulgarian market.

"The star product presented at the BEGE gaming show was the latest Lucky 5 model", Tjasa Luin, Alfastreet

What novelties did you present at this edition of BEGE? And what was the response from the public and visitors?

The BEGE gaming show was well visited this year and well organized by our representative Bulgames, represented by  Georgi Bukoreshtliev.  The star of the show was the latest Lucky 5 model, with its impressive signage and all the other game features that make this machine successful on every single floor. In the last years, there has also been more demand for smaller compact roulettes, like 4, 5, or 6 players, mainly because roulette is not as popular among the players as it was 10 or more years ago.

What conclusions can you highlight of the tradeshow?

The tradeshow was very well organized and the feedback was good. This show is important for the Bulgarian market, but it was also very well visited by customers from the Balkan region. Tjasa Luin commented: "For the last couple of years only our sales managers were visiting the show, but this year I have decided to take the opportunity to visit the show personally and meet also with the operators. During our visit, we also visited several locations to understand a little bit wider the situation on the market and the demand from the players. It was interesting to find out that there were not a lot of large investments in the last couple of years, but still, most of the gaming halls are very well maintained."

What is your vision of the Bulgarian and Eastern European market?

The Bulgarian market is nowadays a relatively small market for Alfastreet, but still important, due to this reason the presence at BEGE is necessary and welcomed. In the early beginnings, Alfastreet was the leader in the Bulgarian ETG segment, but when EGT entered the market aggressively it was very difficult to compete because they are locals and they were competing with a more aggressive strategy to conquer the market. But still,  Alfastreet is recognized as “Mercedes” on the ETG market and operators understand the quality behind the brand, due to this reason Alfastreet is still a popular and demanded product in this market.

What are your expectations for 2024 in this region?

The expatiations for 2024 for the Bulgarian market are conservative since they are expecting some changes in gaming law that will certainly impact the industry, not only for the ETG segment but also for the slot market. There is a demand for the roulettes, mainly for smaller versions and Alfastreet expects some sales also in 2024, however, the numbers of sold products will probably remain the same or close to this year.
